I start teaching this week at Jersey Academy of Music, which is an amazing facility at Chateau Vermont, in the photo. It’s a very vibrant setup with many, many children learning instruments and the all-important theory and aural alongside. It’s particularly gratifying to see so many taking on theory exams beyond the Grade 5 exam.
Alongside various private students, I now definitely feel as though I’m beginning a new practice in Jersey, and can’t wait to get stuck back into the business of teaching singing. With a horrible virus on its way out, I should be able to get back to my own vocal regime too, in preparation for the concerts in November and December, and some serious carol singing at home.
Watch this space and we’ll see how it goes!
